Microsoft Office 2010 license error

I have followed the article http://blogs.vmware.com/thinapp/2010/08/step-by-step-instructions-on-how-to-thinapp-office-2010.html

and receive the following error when running Word 2010 for the first time:

"Microsoft Office cannot verify the license for this application.  A repair attempt failed or was canceled by the user. The application will now shut down."

Any clues?
