how to use large external files?

i have a program of 4.3 gb in total size. when i run this program off my usb drive (32 gb) at work i get an error message:

" **fatal** string manager failed to initialised properly"

then a maessage: "editing the registery has been disabled by the system administrator".

now i've tried to make a thinapp, but i got the error that the .exe file would become to big.

the program relies on regedit.exe to read keys(included in the program folder).

the program has, amongst other files, two large files(2 and 1.5 gb).

how could i modify the build process so i can make a thinapp of the main program.exe, regedit.exe and the keys,

but keep the 2 large files out of the "virtual/thinapp os" but still let the main .exe of the program read those file's?( see .png file)

(please use simple terms on how to do this, i'm not so good at English)
