Package VI Client 2.5 with ThinApp

Hi there,

I have a small problem with a ThinApp package of the VI Client version 2.5.

Everything is working fine except when I start a "Console" session to a VM, I receive the following error.

^{_{VMware VirtualCenter unrecoverable error: (mks)}}

^{_{Cannot get temporary directory for log file.}}

^{_{A core file is available in "C:\Documents and Settings\....\vmware-remotemks-3484-2364-0.dmp"}}

The strange thing is that packages created with Thinstall are running fine, no problems here.

I’ve done some testing to se if it’s ThinApp that gives this error. So for testing I used the same VM and install source of the VI Client, to create this package.

When I create the package with Thinstall it’s just working fine, I’m able to open a Console session.

And when I package it with ThinApp it’s all working except the Console, and I receive the MKS error.

So it seems that there’s something wrong with ThinApp, does anyone have this issue.
