I'm attempting to package Office 2007 Pro Plus using ThinApp v4.5 and it fails during the 'snapshot.exe -GenerateProject' section of the process. I've tried this both using the GUI as well as the command line.
(error - Snapshot tool has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry ... etc. etc" )
I'm successful in packaging and building using a VM that has ThinApp v4.04 on it. I have even built the project using the 4.04 and then used 4.5 to package the app. Realize this is failing on building the ThinApp project files (snapshot.exe C:\Template.ini –GenerateProject C:\MyProjectDirectory) not on creating the (exe or dat) package.
Is there a note out there somewhere that I missed on the v4.5 snapshot.exe having problems building the project files for Office 2007? I have packaged several apps using the 4.5 version on this VM and this is the first time I've had this problem.
Thoughts?
