Connecting to the Windows side to the Internet via ethernet

Hello community,

I am trying to connect to the internet on the Windows side of my VMware Fusion. Currently, the OSX is connected to the internet via an ethernet cable. I have tried trouble shooting this issue however, I'm afraid the VMware KB: Troubleshooting networking and internet connection issues in VMware Fusion guide is not of use to me due to the circumstances.

A few specifics,

VMware Fusion V 6.0.2

Running Windows 7

Under the Network and Sharing Center I am presented with an "unidentified public network" that has no internet access. The system also shows two "Local Area Connections." One local Area connection has the IP address of the Mac, but states there is no Internet Access, which is confusing because this local area connection has internet access on the OSX side. Selecting the "Connect or Disconnect" button has no effect as it does not alter the connection to the unidentified network.

Adjusting the firewall settings does not affect the machine's ability to connect to either of the connection/network options listed in the Network and Sharing Center.

If anybody has advice/ a guide to connect to the internet via ethernet through my VMware, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

-Jackson
