Hi,
Our company wants to use a ThinApp as a software to make a portable version of our product.
The product is a .NET 3.5 Windows application that works with SQL Server 2005 database.
We just need to be sure that ThinApp will fit our requirements and run, but currently we don't have success.
So
Created a clean XP SP3 machine, installed ThinApp 4 (latest one), run Pre-scan, Installed software that also installs SQL Server 2005 in silent mode (DB instance name, authentication type, password, accounts - everything is passed. The account is Local System.), configure software, run the software, close it down, stop SQL Server (it is installed with Automatic startup mode) and run post-scan.
And here problems occur. First, I followed an article in KB (that is about SQL Server 2005 Express SP2, not SP3) and found that there is no such folder - "%AppData%\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA".
Then I build our application's portable, started it and got an error - the same one as KB describes...
Guys, Please help me - what to do to enable SQL Server? I need to find a solution ASAP
