Today I wanted to try out my evaluation copy of TA 5.0.0 on a freshly setup and never before used version of Windows 7 Professional SP1 incl. all updates (x86) - 
I downloaded the standard Thinapp 5.0.0 Enterprise .exe (VMware-ThinApp-Enterprise-5.0.0-1391583) from VMWare three times to elimiate possible CRC errors, but I wasn't able to manage to get it installed.
The first time I start up Thinapp this is what I get: 
(No matter if I start Thinapp as a normal user or with elevated rights as administrator)
Standard compatibility error - "Reinstall using the recommended settings" or "This program installed correctly"
No instances of Thinapp or anything related to it running in taskmanager.
If I try to start the installation file a second time, I get absolutely nothing.
Since we have no physical Windows 7 machines, I could only try to run the setup on our physical Windows 8.1 machines and there it runs flawlessly... However I can't explain to myself why Thinapp 5.0.0 installation won't start on a virtualized Windows 7.
Any ideas?
