Dear VM-Community
I ran into the exactly same problem as reported on this thread: http://communities.vmware.com/message/1654350
Only thing that changed is the software. This time, it's 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) instead of Firefox. But the environment stayed the same, as well as the error message. The suggested steps in the other thread did not helped here too.
Is there really no fix for this annoying issue?
