QuickBooks 2012 Premier, ThinApp 4.7, Office 2010 x86
Normally, QB uses MAPI to send e-mail via Outlook. Here, QB is virtualized, while Office (including Outlook) are installed normally on the same machine on which QB is running.
When I try to send an email from QB, I get this message from QB:
Outlook Profile Does Not Exist
You must create a profile first to use Outlook to send e-mail.
If you choose not to create a profile, you'll continue to use QuickBooks e-mail.
Do you want to create a profile for Outlook?
[Yes][No]
When I click Yes, the dialog disappears, but nothing else happens. Haven't tried clicking No, but customers won't want to use QB e-mail; they'll want to use OL.
Outlook has a MAPI profile and is working normally. I'm using MAPI from a custom Word app installed on the same machine, so I know MAPI Automation is working correctly. I get the message whether or not OL is running at the time. (It shouldn't be necessary to have it open.)
Shouldn't MAPI be available to virtual apps??
