VLC 1.1.8 + 1.1.9 don't quit properly (TA 4.6.1)

Hey folks,

recently I experienced that VLC media player does not quit after closing it. The problem occurs on VLC 1.1.8 and 1.1.9. (being used on Windows XP SP3 32 bit)

I'm using a clean XP SP3 and Thinapp 4.6.1 to capture. All settings default. (also applies to captured VLC)

As you see on the screenshot: there is no instance of VLC open or visible in the taskbar. However the taskmanager still shows an active VLC instance. Another problem is, that if I'm opening any media file now, I see a second instance of VLC opening in the taskmanager, but no program window showing up (an therefor no media being played)...

Any ideas?
