I am a newbie. I read thru the documentation. It says you require the same kind of machine to capture and build the package, as the one you will deploy on. Eg: use only Win2k3 to build a package that will run on w2k3.
There are other products (Softgrid) that can run on a higher version of OS in a restricted mode. Which means, the package can be deployed on w2k3 with only w2k compatiblity, keeping the application unaware of where it is running. Thus helping us run our legacy apps on higher (supported) OS.
Just trying to verify with you guys. So does ThinApp not support this kind of smooth OS migration for legacy apps that cannot run on higher OS (w2k3 and above)?
