Wildcards with network sandboxing

Afternoon,

I am trying to create a network sandboxed version of office 2007 which will essentially substitute roaming profiles for Office applications, however when i try to wildcard the username into the destination (in order for the sandbox to be created at the right location unique to the person logging in) it ignores it.  Has anyone had any experience with this or knows if its even possible?

For example the location would be "server name"\"share"\%UserName% (so that the sandbox would be created in the root of whoever is using the thinapp.  As multiple users cannot seem to use the same application if it is being network sandboxed.
