iTunes Doesn't Recognize Mobile Devices

iTunes is giving me a lot of trouble when it comes to recognizing mobile devices.

I have followed the post located here http://communities.vmware.com/message/1594771#1594771 and iTunes application works but does not recongize any mobile device. After doing some research iTunes requires the Apple Mobile Device service in order to recongize any mobile devices such as ipad or iphone.

I made changes in the package.ini to enable the apple services (the package.ini is attached to this thread) After rebuilding the package I reinstalled it as a MSI and both services shows up under the services list. The AppleMobileDeviceService shows Started and iPodService shows stoped and manual start.

Opening iTunes again informs to tell me "The software required for communicating with iPods and mobile phones was not installed correctly. Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?", I tell it "Yes" and it immediately repsonds with "The software required for communicating with iPods and mobile phones could not be repaired. Please reinstall iTunes if you wish to use these devices.". iTunes reports this message no matter if the device is connected or not.

After iTunes continues to open up and run properly minus the capability to recongize any mobile devices.

iTunes was captured using ThinApp 4.6.1-361923 on a Windows 7 SP1 32bit OS

I am running the ThinApp package on a virtual Windows 7 SP1 32bit OS through VMware View. The iPad is being passed through from a Fat Client running Windows XP SP3 with the correct drivers to the virtual workstation. Both the physical and virtual system recongizes the IPad correctly.

If anyone else has run across this issue and found a working solutions please reply.
