Need help getting a 32bit Thinapp'd app to interact with Outlook 2010 x64.

This is a specific example but it's not the only app I'm having trouble with so any ideas are welcome.

Here's the current scenario that's driving me bananas.

The Thinapp - Visio 2010 (32-bit, of course), packaged on XP SP3 with Office 2003 locally installed.

Target OS - Win 7 x64 with Office 2010 x64 locally installed.

Visio 2010 runs, you can do pretty much everything... except, Save and Send -> Send as Attachment (or any of the email actions).

Basically, I've tried so many variations it's hard to explain the precise error, as they vary from "There is no default mail client installed" to "reinstall outlook" to absolutely nothing happening.

The common theme is the windows installer kicks off a repair for msmapi32.dll.  Isolation on the folder that contains msmapi32.dll (C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033) is set to writecopy.  I've even tried including msmapi32.dll inside the Visio thinapp but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.

The Send as Attachment feature works fine on XP SP3/Office 2003.  So I was wondering if anyone had any tips for getting 32-bit apps to play nicely with x64 apps.

I've tried enabling/disabling WOWon64 in package.ini, I've got the following in my buildoptions

ChildProcessEnvironmentDefault=Virtual

ChildProcessEnvironmentExceptions=Outlook.exe

and VirtualiseOutofProcessCOM=0

Any tips/tricks above and beyond the ordinary, much appreciated. For now it's time for me to go home and have a beer.
